Story Abstract |
Jim Arbuckle gives an account of growing up in a large Protestant family in Londonderry and how he became a teacher for 25 years. He also describes how he then became an Education Officer for UNICEF in Northern Ireland and later worked as a Community Relations Facilitator with Towards Understanding and Healing (TUH) in Londonderry. It was through his work at TUH that he became involved with Smashing Times Theatre Company. Much of the interview is given to his involvment with Smashing Times and the possible use of arts in promoting reconciliation. |
