Story Abstract |
"Jeanette Warke - is a Shared City Officer who works to bring together people from both communities in Derry/ Londonderry in an attempt to demonstrate that cultural differences can exist without being conflictive. Through many programmes and projects the Shared City Project provides a vital role building upon relationships rather than displacing them. Encouraging greater community participation to improve skills. This is achieved through community education programmes. The Shared City Project offers opportunities for betterment to many people in the majority of the many disadvantaged and deprived areas within Derry City Council wards. Shared City also supports victims many of whom have suffered from the effects of our recent conflict." (from INCORE website) |
