The Conference is being held from Monday 17th November 2014 – Tuesday 18th November 2014, so with that in mind we recommend booking any required travel as early as possible to save on costs.

Accommodation

How do I get to Belfast?

Travelling to Northern Ireland by Air

Belfast is serviced by two airports – George Best Belfast City Airport and Belfast International Airport.


George Best Belfast City Airport

The airport is situated just three miles from Belfast City Centre. For flight information please check www.belfastcityairport.com

Bus

The Airport express 600 service runs from the airport terminal to Belfast city centre (Europa Bus Centre) every 20 mins (05.30 – 22.05) Monday – Friday. Please check www.translink.co.uk for services on Saturday and Sunday.

Taxi

Approved taxis operate from the airport taxi rank outside the terminal building.


Belfast International Airport

The airport is situated 18 miles north-west of Belfast, approximately a 30 minute drive. For more information on flights please check www.belfastairport.com

Bus

The Airport Express 300 service runs from the airport terminal to Belfast city centre (Europa Bus Centre). The service runs every 15 minutes Monday – Friday and every 20 minutes on a Saturday and every 30 minutes on a Sunday. It runs 24 hours a day but night time services are less frequent. Taxi

The International Airport Taxi Company, official taxi operator for the Belfast International Airport, are available for hire 24 hours a day 7 days a week outside the right hand door of the airport Exit. Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport also has an international airport and is located 1.5 hours approximately (158 kilometres) from Belfast City Centre. For further information on Dublin Airport and routes please go to www.dublinairport.com

Bus

The Goldline Express Service X1 – X2 runs a cross border service from Dublin Airport to Belfast city centre (Europa Bus Centre). The Goldline Express pick up point is Zone 10, stop one.

Train

There is currently no direct rail link to Dublin Airport from Northern Ireland. However Cross Border Services are provided by Enterprise from Belfast Central Train Station to Dublin Connolly Station, where it is possible to connect on Bus Eireann Services to Dublin Airport.

Sea/Ferry

A selection of routes and ferry operators are available. Belfast is most easily reached form the following ports:

  • Belfast Port is located 1.5km from the city centre and can be reached by bus, taxi or on foot.
  • Larne lies 32km east of Belfast with bus and rail connections.
  • Dublin is over 160km south of Belfast but is well connected by rail and bus services.
