Story Title: Godfrey Wilson

Collection: Omagh: Voices of LossĀ (collection)
Organisation: Spencer, Graham. (individual compiler)

One of 15 personal stories about the Omagh bombing (15 August 1998) that were published in the book 'Omagh: Voices of Loss' (2005).

"I interview Godfrey at his bungalow in Omagh. His wife Ann stays in the kitchen unable to talk about the loss of their daughter Lorraine (15). I sit with Godfrey in his living room which is decorated with photographs. Lorraine can be seen horse-riding in one of the photographs. She looks confident and happy. The interview is punctuated with a number of pauses as the recollections continue to upset Godfrey. His youngest son also comes into the room and listens to what Godfrey has to say." Spencer, G. (2005; p.55)
