William Mitchell gives an account of his membership of the junior wing of the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF). He admits to carrying out a murder when he was 16 years of age. He was convicted in June 1975 and then detained at the pleasure of the Secretary of State. He also describes the impact his imprisonment had on his parents.
