It is is one of eight video interviews with people who describe how everyday objects have a special meaning for them in relation to the history of the Northern Ireland conflict.

"As a police officer in South Armagh during the troubles, Roger McCallum faced the daily possibility of a gun attack. In an attempt to provide some extra protection, police headquarters issued Roger and his colleagues with clipboards which could act as a bullet-proof shield in the event of an attack."
